Motium’s new TUFF+ Panel PC (MPP-1227) has been awarded two Australian Good Design Awards!
Motium’s TUFF+ Panel PC is a rugged in-vehicle computer designed for harsh environments and tough industries. Motium’s TUFF+ Panel PC was awarded a win in the Engineering Design Category and the Product Design (Commercial and Industrial) Category.
Alwyn Lloyd, Senior Manager of Engineering & Product Development and Simon Li, Team Lead Electronics Design Engineer, represented the highly knowledgable and dedicated Motium TUFF Engineering Team at the 2024 Australian Good Design Awards Ceremony in Sydney.
The Australian Good Design Awards has been running since 1958 and recognises, rewards and celebrates the projects and teams behind great design ideas. It’s a comprehensive and prestigious program that acknowledges outstanding design across a range of sectors and industries, from architecture to everyday products.

Engineering Design
Motium’s TUFF+ Panel PC is the first of the TUFF+ product family, featuring high customisability and long life, aimed at enhancing efficiency, vehicle safety, and user experience.
The Jury noted the product’s customisability and robustness, which are crucial for enduring harsh conditions. The focus on longevity is refreshing in a market where many products lack durability, making this a standout example of durable engineering.
Product Design (Commercial and Industrial)

The Jury commends the TUFF+ Panel PC for its impressive blend of powerful computing capabilities with a durable, user-friendly interface. The TUFF+ Panel PC (MPP-1227, 12.8-inch) was showcased for the first time at MINExpo in Las Vegas, September 2024, receiving excellent feedback.
