Aussie Invader Aims to Set New World Land Speed Record

Motium is proud to support the team behind the “Fastest Aussie on Earth”, Rosco McGlashan, who’s goal is breaking the world Land Speed Record. He aims to set an unprecedented record of 1000mph (1600 km/h)!

Motium is designing a custom specialist application to run on our TUFF Panel PC that will be fixed into the Aussie Invader 5R. Acting as a dashboard, Motium’s TUFF Panel PC will display critical information during all of Rosco McGlashan’s world record attempts including speed, engine run-time, and live feed from the Aussie Invader 5R’s two built-in cameras. It will also display key details that are crucial parts of his take-off checklist.

Rosco McGlashan is the current holder of the Australian Land Speed Record, having set this record of 500 mph (802 km/h) in 1994. The current world Land Speed Record, stands at 763 mph (1,223 km/h).

Motium’s TUFF Panel PC will provide the rugged tech necessary to suit the extreme vibration, blinding sunlight and dust-rich environment that Rosco McGlashan and the Aussie Invader 5R will be subject to when racing at 1000 mph!
